Welcome to Heidi J Cox's Running Blog

Hi Runners New, Old and Aspiring to Be!

Join us as we learn, inspire and have fun in our chosen sport of running. I look forward to your contributions and suggestions.

25 years ago I was the top female runner in my high school. I began to run again for the first time last year since I'd never entered an adult race. In 2009 I ran my first two half marathons.

My goal is to successfully complete the Marine Corps Marathon this October 2010. I've come a long way, learned a great deal and have a long way to go. Join me on my journey and that we can inspire each other as we reach our goals. Happy Running! Heidi J Cox

3 Weeks Till Marathon Day!

You've seen my posts for several months now and the big day is almost here. I hope to be proof that anyone can set a goal like this and make it happen. When I started running less than two years ago, I ran around my block and was tired. Yesterday I ran 22 miles and felt pretty good.

It takes work and commitment but with a goal in mind and persistence, you can reach your goal, no matter what you set out to do.

Believe in yourself and the goal you set. See yourself successfully reaching your goal.

To your success,

Getting through Halloween without the extra candy pounds - Washington DC Women’s Health | Examiner.com

Just because we exercise, doesn't give us permission to go crazy on Halloween treats. As runners, we are what we eat. We feel what we ate the day before when we are out for run!
