Isn't this absolutelty true? When I ran years ago in high school, I made terrific friendships on the track and cross country teams. Some of these friendships would never have occurred except on those teams. I've been finding some of those old friends recently on facebook when posting my recent running information!
In the past year, I have made new friends and built stronger ones through a common bond of running as well. This is just another side benefit to enjoying the outdoors, exercising and running along :}
