"The hardest step for a runner to take is the first one out the door."
Ron Clarke - world record marathon holder in the 1960's.-www.runningtips.com
This is so true. As I was getting up this am at 5:15am to meet a group to run, I had this quote in mind. Sometimes you have to push yourself out the door but when you do, you are so glad that you did. Consistency will make you a stronger runner, mentally and physically.
Know that you are not alone when you are pushing yourself out the door.
Go for it and happy running!

25 years ago I was the top female runner in my high school. I began to run again for the first time last year since I'd never entered an adult race. In 2009 I ran my first two half marathons.
My goal is to successfully complete the Marine Corps Marathon this October 2010. I've come a long way, learned a great deal and have a long way to go. Join me on my journey and that we can inspire each other as we reach our goals. Happy Running! Heidi J Cox
