It's great some days to go out for a run. Oh but there are those days that you just don't feel like it! So, why do it? There are a couple reasons:
*It builds strength physically and mentally. Running is both. It won't always be easy and fun.
If you can push yourself on those hard days, you will be stronger for it later. You will appreciate this strength and it will serve you well in all areas of your life.
"I don't like to run the hills so I can avoid the hills, but I know I need the hills and must conquer the hills." Taken from Runnersworld.com
*If you have a race ahead as a goal, you must push yourself on these off days to stay on track.
*You will feel better when it is done so it will be worth it!

Hi Runners New, Old and Aspiring to Be!

25 years ago I was the top female runner in my high school. I began to run again for the first time last year since I'd never entered an adult race. In 2009 I ran my first two half marathons.
My goal is to successfully complete the Marine Corps Marathon this October 2010. I've come a long way, learned a great deal and have a long way to go. Join me on my journey and that we can inspire each other as we reach our goals. Happy Running! Heidi J Cox
